My grandfather worked here for more than 20 years. It's changed owners several times since then -- I'm surprised not only that it's still around, but that they haven't changed the name since then either.

The two monkeys show their inner selves.

Caught in the act! If you look at the reflection, you can see that Jonathan is playing on his cell phone...

Youngest to oldest. Albert has really grown tall.

On the subject of scary birds, these birds (geese?) were all over the cemetary when we went to visit my grandmother.

They were completely unafraid of the people. I probably could have grabbed one (and then gotten pecked), but I didn't try. But you could get pretty darn close to them and they seemed supremely unconcerned.

Yeah, there were a lot of them.

Wii makes everybody happy!

Scary birds outside one of my neighbors yard. What are they doing?

We went to an Indian Restaurant on Santana Row, this piece of artwork just happens to look just like the NVIDIA logo...

First Eric's orange, now Amy's apple. This is in the cube next to me, so no way am I letting it sit there...

I've been wanting to take a picture of these fountains ever since I got my camera. I finally got a chance...in the dead of the night.

....I took my last private blog entry and put it through the Gender Genie. Apparently, I write like a girl... =\

Joy has a weird look on her face. I don't know how to describe it. Also, see Clement's white hairs.

The cake was yummy too...

Clement smirk.

The chef with all her masterpieces.

It all looks so good! It tasted good too...

This was the best dish. It looks so professional....

After finding two ants in my drink at work, I found this bug in a glass at Ryowa.

Outside the Casino Royale theater. This cop is either taking out his pad to write me a ticket for taking a picture of him and his horse (so cute!), or he's going to cite the horse for illegally parking.

Adam looks like he's kicking Lawrence in the throat. Later he spilled beer all over himself.

Yves: Quick! Pretend I'm taking a picture of you guys so that we can get incriminating evidence against Serena and her mystery man! (It's her ex.)

George, we want a picture of you hitting Yves again! Oops....too blurry.

Take 2: No...it doesn't really look like you're hitting him. We want another picture...

George has a goofy smile on his face, like hitting Yves is so fun. Yves reaction: "You did NOT just hit me again."

Waiting outside the shipping warehouse for Dan to ship his motorcycle back home, I noticed all the planes coming in for a landing at SJC. Here's the best shot I could get without a tripod (and I had like three planes to practice on in like 10 minutes).

I SCREWED UP MY BLOG SO BADLY!!!!

Tuesday, December 12, 2006

OK, to make a really, really, long story short, here's what happened:

Sunday after church we decided on the spur of the moment to go watch the new Bond movie, then we ate dinner because we were starving, and then we went back to Kittoe and played Wii until like 2:00. So I was way too tired to make my daily entry in my blog.

Monday I went to Totoro after Taiji and then goofed off. I really should have made my entry but I guess I was feeling good that I had made my Saturday entry on Monday. bleah.

Tuesday I stayed late at Kittoe because Thomas and Sam had not played the Wii. Got back at like 1:00 and I was way too tired to make my daily entry in my blog.

Wednesday we went to Amaro's for lunch, and then after coming back from Bagua I went back to work and worked til like 4:00AM, so I was way too tired to make my daily entry in my blog.

Which brings us to Thursday, where more fun stuff happened, but having had only like 4 hours of sleep last night, I'm way too tired to say any more.....hahaha.

OK, tomorrow I must make an entry! I'm sad that no-one will know all the funny stories that happened to me this past week....=p

So much for the plan to keep a daily blog. I lasted one day before dropping the ball. hahahaa.

Here's the reason. Saturday was my Wii party where I invited all the Wushu people.
Scott: He responded to the evite with a "No", but his comment was "woot". Apparently, he misclicked. He showed up. Raving Rabbids was right up his alley.
Chris: Said he might come, but he didn't. He's so busy....
James: What a flaker!
Nancy: Dropped by with Yves. She totalled everybody in the running mini-games. It was unbelievable.
Gavin: Dropped by with his friend. Actually, I should ask him if I know him from before. Gavin's friend's name was Daniel Wang. Is he the same Daniel Wang that I ran hurdles against in Lynbrook?
Lawrence: Stopped by for a little bit before taking off.

I think that was everybody. Oh yeah, before hand, went out to have lunch with Patricia and watched an episode and a half of Heroes. Good thing we decided to try to play a little before 2:00, because I found out that not only were the batteries that I charged weren't chargeable (may leak or explode if recharged...O.o), but the rechargeable batteries that I bought had no charge in them (I guess you have to charge them before using them first). So I ran back home and picked up a bunch of batteries.

The party pretty much petered out and exactly the right time: 6:00. Because the party to say hi to Andy (Esther's fiance) started from 6:00-6:30. So I had time to pack up the Wii and go over to Kittoe.

We went to a burger joint in Palo Alto. The funny part was when the conversation at the table divided itself into games (Esther, Hanlin, Andy, Me, Chris, semi-Byron) and Gilmore Girls (semi-Byron, Maria, Karen, Joy). Speaking of Joy, this was the first time I had seen her in a while, and on the ride back to Kittoe, I asked her how Jenny was doing. And she said she deleted her!!! Now, there's apparently some dirty dog named Wolvie running around on my DS. Boooo!!!

So back at Kittoe, we fired up the Wii, and because Joy wanted to play Trauma Center, I let her do a couple operations. Then everybody went off to play Bang! and I was stuck with Joy on the Wii. I really wanted to play Bang! since Andy had a new expansion, but oh well. So I went through Wii Sports with Joy. She was absolutely hysterical over Boxing, and she ended up winning 3 to 2 on the judge's decision. We also tied in baseball after she got a two-run homer.

When the Bang! game ended, essentially I gave the controllers to the girls (Maria, Joy, Esther, Shalley), and they proceeded to have boatloads of fun. I extricated myself and got to play a game of Bang! (although a short one!), but we kept getting distracted because the girls kept squealing like crazy.

Anyways, people kept playing until like 1:30, so by the time I got home I was just exhausted. Hence, no update to the blog.

OK, I'm gonna try to start keeping a daily blog. Let's see how long this lasts.....

So we had our company holiday charity event today. Basically I sat in the bleachers and watched EStaff race around on Segways. Not much to say, although I think I would have enjoyed watching them race simultaneously. I hadn't realized that they were so dangerous -- apparently several of EStaff had injured themselves practicing for the race. Anyways, that's about all that was interesting. They had the live auction afterwards too, but I figured it would be pretty much like it was last year, so I stayed and worked a little.

And by "work", I mean play X-COM UFO Defense. hahaha. I fended off an alien attack on my Kazakh base using only 8 Rookies armed with Stun Rods! mwahahaha! (I picked up a couple Plasma Rifles after stunning some of the aliens).

Then I headed off to Wushu. I had decided not to go to actual class, so I just showed up late and didn't bother changing (actually, I didn't even bring my clothes. I just went home to pick up my watch and my cell phone that I forgot.). We went out to Queen House, and lucky for me we went there because it meant that our group of 11 had to get three different tables and I didn't have to sit with Joyce. Yayy.

I could write a whole bunch more about that, but it's good for me to let it go. So I just ordered a drink at TapEx and was going to just go to Byron's place, but I forgot where his place was. So I called him and found out the party was cancelled...Andy wanted to spend the night just with Esther instead. That's fine. So I made the choice to go back and join everybody at TapEx.

After TapEx, I wasn't feeling very up, so I didn't really want to go to the party Sandy invited me too. But Lawrence's urging (and Joyce's...bleah...) made me decide to swing by just to see what would happen. I almost didn't go when I saw a bunch of cars leaving, but I decided worst case I would go up and see people cleaning up through the balcony window. So I parked, and the party was still going on. The weird thing is -- thanksgiving girl was there! Someone who I didn't expect to ever see again.

I feel like I've expanded my friend circle so much these past few months. Just today I saw Yukuan at TapEx and then I ran into thanksgiving girl. This is a big part of how I imagined life should be. I really need to just go to these events whenever possible and just hang out with people. It makes me happy. =)

Lily's friend. I totally think she looks and sounds like Kunyu. Kunyu's good twin.
